Festivals

JANUARY

  • Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. celebration: Fayetteville State University. Lectures, concerts and more. 672-1474.

  • Fayetteville Dogwood Festival: Downtown Fayetteville, late April. Street fair, dancing, live music, food, arts and crafts. 323-1934.

  • Annual Fine Arts Festival: Southern Pines in Moore County. Early August. (910) 692-4356.
  • Umoja festival: Fayetteville. Mid-August. Storytellers, vendors, artists, dancers and music.

SEPTEMBER

  • Pinehurst Resort Wine Festival: Pinehurst. The festival features a wine makers reception and dinner, wine tastings, seminar and cooking demonstrations for guests of Pinehurst. Call (800) 487-4653.
  • Greek Fest: Saints Constantine & Helen Greek Orthodox Church.  Greek foods, live bands, dance troupes and more. 484-2010.
